Bryson Tiller Samples Ying Yang Twins for New Single “Outside”

Bryson Tiller has returned with a new track “Outside,” which samples The Ying Yang Twins 2005 hit single “Wait (The Whisper Song).”

The Vinylz-produced track was first teased by Tiller on his Instagram last week and is the first new offering from the R&B singer since 2020’s Anniversary, which got a deluxe-edition revamp in 2021. Tiller also dropped a holiday EP last November titled A Different Christmas which featured appearances from Justin Bieber, Kiana Ledé and others.

“Outside” is the polar opposite of what everyone is used to hearing from me,” Bryson Tiller said in a statement. “Normally we would release a song intended to put people deep in their feelings, but this song is ANTI-FEELS.”

Despite not having released a proper album since 2020, the Trapsoul crooner has kept busy these past two years. In 2022, he linked up with David Guetta and Joel Corry for a dance single titled “What Would You Do?” and joined forces with Diddy on “Gotta Move On,” the first new single from the Bad Boy Records founder since 2015.

Following the release of his Anniversary (Deluxe), Tiller told Apple Music he’s got “so much music” in his arsenal.

“You know my grandma passing that really changed me and made me just be like, you know what honestly what everybody says just doesn’t matter. I’m gonna keep moving regardless. At the end of the day. I really love music.”

He continued, “I saw another quote that was like don’t do it till you wanna quit do it till you’re done. So I was just like okay I definitely don’t wanna quit, and I’m not gonna stop when I wanna quit. I’m just gonna do it and I’ll stop when I’m done. That’s how I feel right now.”

In a more recent interview with Revolt TV, Tiller said the album was awaiting collaborations from Justin Bieber, Jack Harlow and Mariah Carey, which he confirmed were all “in the works,” but remained tight-lipped on any further details.
