The acclaimed trio comprising Anaïs Mitchell, Eric D. Johnson, and Josh Kaufman, announces their highly anticipated third full-length album, Keep Me on Your Mind/See You Free, set for release on June 7th, 2024, via Jagjaguwar.

Alongside the album announcement, Bonny Light Horseman drop the lead single ‘I Know You Know’ and its accompanying music video, offering a glimpse into the album’s narrative and expansive soundscapes. Encapsulating Bonny Light Horseman’s signature blend of folk tradition and experimental flair, the song’s feel-good vibe belies its deeper emotional resonance, exploring themes of duality, choices, and the complexities of human experience. The accompanying music video, directed by Kimberly Stuckwisch, captures the song’s essence against the backdrop of the Mojave desert, infusing visuals with symbolism and introspection.

Johnson explains:

“When thinking about directors for Bonny Light Horseman’s first (!!!) ever music video, Kimberly Stuckwisch leapt to mind immediately. I’d been a longtime fan of her always-evocative work–and for our band, I felt like she’d ‘get it. The treatment she came back with was deeply aligned with the sentiments of the song: life’s multiverse, the dualities of joy and pain, the choices we make that chart our course towards one way or another. We shot this on a salt flat in the Mojave desert, trying to outrun the sunset and packs of salty coyotes, under the watch of some wayward desert pelicans.”

Listen to ‘I Know You Know’ and stay tuned for the release of Keep Me on Your Mind/See You Free on June 7th, 2024.
