Benny Banks Returns With ‘Burning Bridges’ EP, Shares Video For Title Track

It’s been a long time coming, but Islington rap legend Benny Banks is back with a fresh batch of new music. The Burning Bridges EP is his first drop of 2022 and it comes with some visuals for the title track.

This 5-track project has been in the works for some time now. Benny first mentioned working on a new project at the end of 2020 when he released the tracks “Eye For An Eye” and “Tooth For A Tooth”, although neither track appears on the new EP. In fact, none of his recent singles appear, which is just as well because it makes space for all these new gems, including a long overdue collab with fellow rap legend J Spades on “Day In My Life”.

Production on the EP comes from Jackum, Marco Bernardis, Ustalyy, Kenz, Mikey Joe, 10k, Lone Wolf, MadReal and 99 Makaveli, and the only other guest feature is Violet May on the titular opening track.

Speaking of which, that track was released ahead of the EP with some visuals directed by Lauren Luxemburg that tell the story of a crumbling relationship and the family unit that crumbles with it.
