Adriatique have taken the next leap in their career with the debut of a new record label, X Recordings.
The Swiss duo are beloved for their immersive “Adriatique present X” event series, which has brought mind-bending visuals to many iconic venues across the globe. They’re now building a home for their hair-raising brand of melodic techno.
They also unveiled the imprint’s debut release, “The Future Is Unknown,” blending dark and hypnotic sound design with deep basslines. The track tensely builds to a spellbinding drop, ultimately leading to an enthralling listen. Check out Adriatique’s new single below.
Adriatique unveiled their cutting-edge event series in Zürich last December. Since then, their innovative shows have provided a glimpse into the future of melodic techno at Pacha Ibiza, Brooklyn Mirage, Amsterdam’s Gashouder and many more.
“X is a multifaceted and versatile symbol, also seen as an intersection where paths cross. We feel X is an illustration of reflection and duality; both play major roles in our careers,” Adriatique explained in a press release. “As a platform, X welcomes influences and inspiration from all the people and artists involved.
