There’s so much good music out in the ether that sometimes it’s difficult to parse through all of it. Every week The Daily Music Report will do the hard work for you and highlight the best releases available on streaming services.

This week we’re highlighting new music from Oddisee, Måneskin, and The Moss.

Oddisee – To What End

D.C. rapper and producer Oddisee (Amir Mohamed el Khalifa) has followed up his 2020 EP Odd Cure with his first full-length album for his personal Outer Note Label. To What End is a 16-track project that offers razor-sharp lyrics on top of lo-fi beat samplings of orchestral strings and hip-hop beats. With songs about being an extreme introvert to having to switch between roles in his life, To What End includes some of the rapper’s most introspective lyrics to date.

Standout Songs: The Start of Something, Many Hats, Try Again, Ghetto To Meadow (feat. Freeway), People Watching, Hard to Tell, Bogarde (feat. Noochie), Race

Måneskin – RUSH!

Italian rock band Måneskin has returned with their third studio album. Rush represents a new chapter for the band as they shift to show a poppier sound of rock. “There’s a lot of variety compared to our previous records,” De Angelis notes. “Instead of starting from the center and trying to [spin] out from it, we started from four different places, which are our four individualities,” adds lead vocalist Damiano David.
