Zendaya, a model and actress, is widely cited as one of the most beautiful, elegant women in the world. Adam Sandler on the other hand, while being many incredible things, certainly isn’t associated with grace.
Thus, the two crossing paths at the Golden Globes over the weekend produced a glorious interaction, as Adam Sandler — who, to his credit, wasn’t rocking his usual stoner-on-laundry-day attire — gave the gown-wearing Zendaya a dap.
The video immediately went viral given how widely loved and popular the two actors are, and what a hilarious intersection of style it was.
Zendaya — nowhere near as stiff as someone of her fame and looks usually is — didn’t flinch, however, immediately offering a hand back to complete a smooth dap with the Sandman.

Zendaya was at the Challengers table at the Golden Globes, which took home the score of Best Original Score, as she was nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. The 28-year-old has also had a busy start to the year and she and Tom Holland got engaged, in addition to both signing onto Christopher Nolan’s next film, an adaptation of Homer’s The Odyssey.
As for why Sandler was at the show, he was Sandler was also nominated for best performance in stand-up comedy on television for his Netflix special Adam Sandler: Love You. At the start of the year, the first trailer for Sandler’s next film, Happy Gilmore 2, was also released.
