DANCING With the Stars host Julianne Hough has admitted to making a major fashion mistake amid drama on the show’s set.
Viewers have called for the former professional dancer to be fired, noting several on-air blunders.

Julianne, 35, took to her Instagram to show off her outfit of the day.
She posed in a white T-shirt, white pants, and a matching white blazer.
The Dancing With the Stars host was also wearing a white pair of high heel shoes.
Her blonde hair was styled in a messy curly style.
She appeared to have on a full face of glam, including a bright red lipstick.
Julianne also donned a shiny necklace around her neck and a chic bracelet.
“Who says you can’t wear white after Labor Day?” she questioned in her caption.
Fans in the comments appeared forgiving of the fashion faux pas.
One wrote: “I love this look.”
Another commented: “My grandmother but I always like to break the rules.”
A third fan gushed: “The best color and it looks gorgeous on you!”
BALLROOM BACKLASH
DWTS viewers, however, have been far less kind to Julianne.
Many have called for her to be fired from the competition series, noting several on-air mistakes she’s made, including mispronouncing a contestant’s name and not knowing a past competitor had died.
She’s gotten some support from her DWTS family, however.
Fellow former professional dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy defended her amid the critiques.
Speaking exclusively with The U.S. Sun, Maksim said: “I think Jules is doing a great job. I mean, I feel like we all love to criticize.”
He went on to say that Julianne is doing “a much better job” for someone who has never done that kind of work before.
Maks continued: “Are there other professionals who do hosting professionally better than Julianne? Yeah, probably.
“There’s also probably dancers that are better dancers than most of the staff on Dancing With the Stars too.
“The problem here is that we can criticize everyone all the time. The reality, though, is that when pieces fit in a project, such as Dancing With the Stars, that’s what you are mostly looking for is that – that all the pieces would fit and the show would become what it is.”
He explained that “the pieces” are all the dancers, celebrities, hosts and judges that are part of this “big project,” or “a stage production.”
DANCING DRAMA
His comments came after DWTS viewers demanded she be fired after a particularly cringey comment during Monster Night.
One commenter posted on X, formerly Twitter: “Derek and Julianne gotta go. If you ain’t dancing, you ain’t doing it. Julianne is cringy as hell on the mic and Derek is delusional and weird on this Harry and Rylee showmance train. Bring back Tyra [Banks] and throw Louis Van Amstel in Derek’s spot. I’ve seen enough.”
Throughout the season, Julianne has spoken with competitors Harry Jowsey and Rylee Arnold about their rumored romance, which was referenced in the post.
During an October 17 episode, Julianne even referred to them as “lovebirds” during an interview.
“She’s shipping them HARD,” one X user claimed.
Another reacted with: “I’m not even mad at Rylee & Harry for playing into their flirting/possible relationship bc it’s bringing in the views & votes but the fact that others like Derek & Julianne are playing along with it too not only shocks me but makes me LOL.”
