It’s a good season to be a stick, especially for those on Sesame Street, as Noah Kahan guests in a new clip from the show’s 55th season. Watch it below.
The 44-second clip sees an anthropomorphic stick thanking Kahan for putting twigs everywhere in the spotlight, before ultimately going back to his “day job” of being thrown around for a game of fetch. Kahan doesn’t say much in the sneak peek, though he does close the teaser by singing, “I love Sesame, but it’s the season of the sticks.”
Kahan supplemented the Sesame Street clip with a post of his own, sharing pictures of him chumming it up with the likes of Cookie Monster and Elmo. “Kicking it with some old New York friends,” Kahan wrote in the caption before calling the experience “one of the best days of [his] life.”
Kahan’s stint on Sesame Street comes on the heels of his Grammy nod for Best New Artist and the release of Stick Season (Forever), a 30-song compilation that, in part, collected his collaborations with Post Malone (“Dial Drunk”), Kacey Musgraves (“She Calls Me Back”), Hozier (“Northern Attitude”), Sam Fender (“Homesick”), Lizzy McAlpine (“Call Your Mom”), and Gracie Abrams (“Everything, Everywhere”). He also has an exclusive physical release on the horizon for Record Store Day: a 7-inch vinyl that houses his cover of Olivia Rodrigo’s “lacy” and Rodrigo’s cover of “Stick Season.”
Kahan also recently kicked off his massive “We’ll All Be Here Forever Tour,” which will keep the artist on the road through July. Pick up tickets to one of his upcoming dates here.
