Married At First Sight UK's Shona Manderson Shares Swimsuit Video of a "Gamechanger"

Shona Manderson is modeling a “game changer” of a bathing suit. In a new social media post the Married at First Sight UK star shows off her amazingly fit figure in a Freya pink and white striped swimsuit.  “I can jump, I can dance, I can shimmy in these,” she says in the video. “Love this,” someone commented on the swimwear look. “Shimmy proof,” added another. How does the reality star approach health and fitness? Celebwell rounded up her top lifestyle habits.

Shona loves yoga, which offers a lot of healthy benefits, says Harvard Health. “Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood,” they said. “People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating.”

Shona is a surfer. The Australian government’s Better Health maintains that surfing provides many health benefits including cardiovascular fitness from paddling, shoulder and back strength, which also strengthens from the paddling, and leg and core strength. “Once you’re standing up on the board, strong legs and a strong core will keep you up,” they say.

Shona doesn’t skip her daily cup of coffee. Should you drink one? According to the Cleveland Clinic, yes. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Another outdoor activity Shona enjoys is hiking. “Just a casual 2 day hike up an active volcano,” she captioned a post. The National Parks Service lists the physical benefits of hiking on their website. They say it helps with:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems

Shona prioritizes self-care by going on retreats and taking time for herself. “I knew my journey on MAFS wasn’t going to easy to watch so after the wedding I flew out to Morocco to fill my week with yoga & high vibes on @soulbodyretreats and stayed for a few days on my own at @beagafay in the desert 🐫 it was so nice & calming to be surrounded by the women on the retreat who were all such beautiful souls & then waking up in the peaceful desert and seeing all the stars at night I felt so calm. Taking time to centre myself, waking up to this beautiful sunrise and remembering where I’m at now,” she captioned a post.
