Many girls have dreamy visions of their wedding dress from the time they are little girls. And if you’ve ever been a bride, choosing your dress is such a fun—and potentially overwhelming—experience. There are so many choices, and sometimes the looks you’re in love with are so very different from one another. Kim Kardashian was able to make that choice three different times! The first was her marriage to record producer Damon Thomas, in 2000. Wedding number two was in 2011 with former NBA player Kris Humphries. The third marriage in 2014 to rapper Kanye West. She compared the looks for each of the weddings in a recent episode of The Kardashians.
Wedding Look #1 Was Non-Traditional and Casual
Kardashian’s first marriage to Damon Thomas was not at all traditional and super casual. In fact, the couple eloped to Las Vegas.
“My first wedding, I wore leather capris with a leather halter top with no back,” Kim said on The Kardashians. “It was so cute with these big Prada wedges.”
The couple divorced in 2004.

Wedding Look #2 Was a Custom Vera Wang Gown
The second time around, when marrying Kris Humphries in Los Angeles, the bride wanted her look to be the total opposite.
“I really wanted a princess vibe … I was like, ‘When else am I ever going to do this?'”
She donned a custom Vera Wang gown, complete with a strapless corset bodice and elegant tulle skirt. Kardashian accessorized with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry—$10 million worth, in fact—which included her sparkling 18-carat diamond engagement ring and a beaded headpiece.
The Skims owner actually paid for her engagement ring, then gave it back to Humphries as part of their divorce agreement, which was finalized in 2013.

Wedding Look #3 Was All About That Lace
Kardashian’s third marriage and luxurious wedding extravaganza to Kanye West took place in Italy in 2014 (after a rehearsal dinner in Paris, that is), and she wore a lace gown. Kim said, “That was Givenchy.”
Although marriage number three ended in divorce in 2022, the couple has three children together, North, 11, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5.
What will dress number four look like? We will have to wait on that one.
The icon said to her sister Khloe on another episode of The Kardashians, “I wonder what my next ring shape will be … My last and final hurrah.”
