Katie Holmes Sparks Concerns Due To A Bruise On Her Face

Katie Holmes has set alarm bells ringing after being spotted walking alone in New York City with what appeared to be bruises on her face.

The bruises were, however, mysteriously gone in photos the actress shared on her Instagram page.

She recently attended her daughter, Suri Cruise‘s graduation from high school.

During the event, Katie Holmes and her daughter were seen hugging and walking together; however, the teenager’s father, actor Tom Cruise, was nowhere in sight.

The “Batman Begins” actress was recently seen strolling alone on the streets of New York for what seemed to be a casual outing.

According to photos from the outing, Holmes had on a black T-shirt, white flowy pants, and black ballet flats. She carried a purse over her shoulder and wore a cap, accessorizing the casual look with diamond earrings.

However, the actress sported an unexplained black eye, which raised concerns, although the full extent of the injury remains unknown.

Holmes tried to hide her bruised eye with her dark-colored baseball cap, leaving fans to speculate about her well-being.

Holmes’ facial bruises were nowhere to be found on her when she took to Instagram to share three bare-faced selfies of herself.

In the series of snaps, she wore a blue striped shirt and a hoop nose ring, with her adorable ragdoll cat, Eleanor, comfortably lying beside her on what appears to be a bed.

She captioned it “Eleanor” with the love emoji. The “Dawson’s Creek” actress’s eye was without any blemish, and several fans took to the comment section to gush about her beauty.

“Hello Katie, what a beauty! Also, your cat is beautiful,” a fan wrote, while another called her the “hottest woman alive.”

In another Instagram post, she announced that she’ll be joining the guest cast of the popular series “Poker Face,” which stars Natasha Lyonne.

“Thank you @nlyonne for having me!” the “Alone Together” actress wrote on Instagram.

Other stars who will appear in the upcoming Netflix series include Giancarlo Esposito, Gaby Hoffmann, and Kumail Nanjiani.

The 45-year-old actress was on hand to celebrate her daughter, Suri Noelle’s graduation from the prestigious LaGuardia High School in New York City.

According to People Magazine, Holmes and Suri, who she shares with actor Tom Cruise, were pictured celebrating the feat together, although Cruise was noticeably absent.

The 18-year-old wore a red cap and gown over a white dress and was seen posing for photos with her mom, who wore tortoiseshell sunglasses and a white collared shirt paired with white pants and silver heels. They were also seen hugging and walking together after the event.

Suri, whose relationship with Cruise has suffered as they’ve reportedly not spoken to each other in over a decade, will attend Carnegie Mellon University.

She recently made headlines when she dropped “Cruise” from her name and went by “Suri Noelle,” which is her mother’s middle name.

Suri is also understood to have severed ties with her other siblings after she seemingly shunned their efforts to contact her over the years.

A source told the Daily Mail that she has a “non-existent” relationship with them after they stayed with the “Mission: Impossible” actor when he separated from their mom, Nicole Kidman, and they adopted Scientology as their religion.

“They haven’t had contact in a decade and there are several reasons why,” a source told the news outlet. “First and foremost is the church of Scientology. Suri’s father and brother do not associate with her because of their devotion to the church, so why would she have a relationship with her siblings?”

The insider also shared that Cruise’s eldest children felt “outcast” because Suri is his biological child.

“Secondly, there is some jealousy from Connor and Isabella when it comes to Suri because she is Tom’s biological child,” the source explained. “They are grateful that they were adopted but having no relationship with their mom, her family, Suri, and that entire circle has made them feel outcast.”

Now that Suri has turned 18, Cruise is not expected to continue paying child support for her to Holmes.

However, a source told the Daily Mail that the teenager is bent on keeping her distance from her father and that money wouldn’t be a reason for a potential reunion.

“Suri will not have any contact with her father, despite being 18, and even if he called, she would not answer,” the insider shared. “He does not exist to Katie or Suri, and his daughter does not want to rely on him for anything.”

They continued, “She feels that she has one parent and that is her mother.”
