Taking to TikTok, the 21-year-old explained that she has seen lots of men on social media posting about their girlfriends forcing them to wear clothes from Zara.

However, she said that this is absolutely not her style, and she loves to see her husband-to-be wearing tracksuits.

She said that some of her favourite brands are Nike, Under Armour, and North Face.

Asking her man if he would ever wear clothes from Zara, he replied: “no”.

Shannon revealed that men who wear Zara are not her type at all, and added that she and her partner will not be participating in the “Zara trend”.

She added that she loves a “chav” and doesn’t understand people who date “posh boys”.

Replying to a comment from a TikTok users, the content creator revealed that she is a big fan of men who have been to prison.

“Oooh yeah”, she said.

In a second video, Shannon showed off her man, in one of her favourite outfits.

The man was decked out in a grey tracksuit, with a balaclava on his head, and was riding a motorbike.

‘You’ve got to be pushing 50,’ taunt trolls to mum in her 30s… but she says she doesn’t care if she’s ‘chav shamed’

“I love my tracksuit and bally wearing chav husband-to-be”, she said.

Shannon’s video, which was posted under the username @shannonrosewheelerx, has likely left many open-mouthed, as it has racked up over 335,000 views on the video sharing platform.

TikTok users raced to the video’s comments section to share their thoughts and opinions were divided.

Is Zara menswear cool?

By Fabulous Deputy Fashion Editor Abby McHale

Abbey McHale said: “There really isn’t a wide range of choice for men when it comes to shopping on the high street.

“Whilst most of the main womenswear stores also sell menswear a lot of the time it looks repetitive and quite boring.

“Queue Zara, a brand that for men pushes the boundaries of what they can wear.

“It’s a jack of all trades kind of brand, they have smart suits if you want to look sharp, casual basics that just look good on and then a lot of more trend led pieces that might be more Marmite.

“For instance on their New In section currently it goes from a Western inspired collection with fringed jackets and baggy cargo trousers, to surfer boy on the beach in some stylish holiday attire, to dapper slicked back basics, before finishing with sportswear.

“It’s one of the only high street brands that lets men experiment with fashion more and that’s what makes them so cool.

“They break the mould, which is something more menswear brands need to take note of. “

“I’d rather a bloke who dresses decent than a scruff”.

A second person said: “I think it just shows your age to be honest.

“I’d never be seen dead with my partner wearing North Face.”

A third person said: “I would dump him if he started wearing Zara”.

A fourth added: “I could never date a trackies guy, or a Zara guy – both lack in originality, style and quality”.
