Maureen McGuire is a former dancer and yoga instructor from East Haven, Connecticut.

She started dating Michael Bolton in 1973, years before the crooner’s big break in the late 80s.

Maureen returned to East Haven in the 90s, where she currently works as a yoga instructor, according to Hollywood Life.

The couple married two years later in 1975 and had three daughters together, Isa, Holly, and Taryn Bolton.

The pair divorced in 1990 with Michael getting custody of the children.

In 2019, Michael told The Sydney Morning Herald, “Guys in their 20s don’t have a clue who they are as human beings.”

He continued, “Men don’t get around to that until their 30s or 40s, which is roughly 10 years later than most women, who seem to know exactly who they are.”

The exes are also grandparents. According to Hollywood Life, Taryn had a son in 2010.

Michael Bolton is an American music icon. He was born on February 26, 1954, in New Haven, Connecticut.

He first tasted mainstream success in 1987 with his cover of Otis Redding’s (Sittin’ On) The Dock Of The Bay, when he and Maureen were still married.

The cover hit number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 1990, he won his first Grammy for his version of How Am I Supposed To Live Without You.

The following year, the album Time, Love & Tenderness became his first number-one album on the Billboard 200.

The album included his chart-topping cover of Percy Sledge’s When A Man Loves A Woman, which won him another Grammy in 1992.

On January 5, 2024, Michael announced on Facebook that he was diagnosed with a brain tumor that required immediate surgery.

Although he will be taking “a temporary break from touring” he assured his fans he will be recovering well during this time.

He said, “I am now recuperating at home and surrounded by the tremendous love and support of my family.”

“It is always the hardest thing for me to ever disappoint my fans or postpone a show, but have no doubt I am working hard to accelerate my recovery and get back to performing soon.”
