At the time, they said: “We have mutually decided to separate temporarily to work on ourselves, and on our marriage with the hope of building a stronger future.”

Their first child, Elliott McLean, was born on November 27, 2012, in Los Angeles, California.
She changed her name from Ava to Elliott in 2022 but the parents said that the name change wasn’t related to her gender identity.
“For those asking…not that it’s anyone’s business but Elliott’s name change is not a gender thing,” Rochelle wrote on her Instagram story, via People.
“She wanted something unique that no one else had (There are so many Ava’s). I didn’t really see the harm in respecting her desire to be unique.”
