Who is Jerry Seinfeld’s wife?
Jerry Seinfeld has been married to his wife, Jessica, since December 25, 1999.
The pair met at a New York City gym the year prior.
After studying at the University of Vermont, Jessica founded the Good+ Foundation.
According to her LinkedIn profile, the foundation “empowers fathers and families in marginalized communities with the education and training they need to build a better life.”
Since it launched in 2001, the organization claims to have helped over 25,000 fathers around big cities such as Houston, New York, Los Angeles, and Baltimore.
When she’s not helping the community, Jessica often supports her husband through his acting and comedic ventures.
Speaking to Parents magazine, Jessica said when they first had Sascha, it took Jerry a while to step into the father role.
However, the roles switched once their kids got older.
“He travels often and usually over weekends, so a lot of the early caretaking, sports and activities were left to me,” she told the magazine.
“Jerry’s strength is now, with our three teenagers.
“He’s patient with them. Where I am weaker, he is stronger, and we complement each other. I wouldn’t change anything.”
Who are Jerry Seinfeld’s parents?
Jerry Seinfeld is the son of Betty and Kalman Seinfeld.
While serving in World War II, Kalman would write and store jokes told among the soldiers in a joke box.
According to the Museum of Jewish People, Kalman did this to “preserve sanity during the stressful time of war.”
After the war, Kalman opened a shop that sold signs in New York City.
The shop was called Signfeld Signs because people weren’t unfamiliar with pronouncing Seinfeld.
As per The Palm Beach Post, she said her son changed the way people started saying Seinfeld.
“When I walk into any place and say ‘Seinfeld,’ they know just how to spell it,” she said.
Sadly, Kalman passed away in 1985, followed by Betty in 2014.
