Voletta Wallace dead at 72 as Notorious BIG’s mother remembered for carrying on rapper’s legacy after his murder

BIGGIE Smalls’ mom has died at 72.

Voletta Wallace died in her Pennsylvania home on Friday morning.

The rapper’s mom was reportedly in hospice at the time of her death, according to TMZ.

She died of natural causes.

Wallace was known for carrying on the Notorious BIG’s legacy after he was murdered in 1997.

She helped pass down his $10 million estate to his family, including his daughter, T’yanna Wallace.

Her bio on X read, “Protecting the Legacy of my son Christopher Wallace. Grandmother, Avid Gardener and a faithful servant of God.”

The devoted mom’s Instagram account was mostly dedicated to her late son’s achievements.

BIG, whose real name was Christopher Wallace, was killed in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles at just 24 years old.

His murderer was never named.
