KATHY Bates has made her return to an iconic show and debuted her youthful look.
The 75-year-old actress has been spotted on set of the new CBS reboot of Matlock, which originally reached fame in the 1980s.

She wore a red jacket over a pair of navy pants and a printed blouse.
Her gray locks were pulled back into an up-do.
Kathy’s look was accessorized with a printed scarf which she wore around her neck.
She looked serious as she acted out her scenes.
The star looked slimmer-than-ever in her fitted clothes, as she had shed over 60 pounds recently.
Her face also looked smooth and wrinkle-free.
Kathy revealed how she dropped the pounds in a previous interview.
The star previous.y admitted she was facing Type Two Diabetes, so decided to change her lifestyle.
“I was facing diabetes — it runs in my family — and I really didn’t want to live with that,” she told Extra.
The condition, sometimes caused by excess weight, was common in her family.
Kathy revealed she completely changed her mindset to achieve her new level of health.
“[I’m] in the best health I’ve been in in years and I’m so grateful — it’s a miracle,” she continued.
SHEDDING THE POUNDS
Kathy explained her best method for weight loss.
“After you eat for 20-30 minutes, you experience an involuntary sigh. It’s communication between stomach and brain telling you you had enough…and what I discovered is if you listen to that sigh and push that plate away for just five minutes, you realize you’re satisfied and you don’t have to eat more,” she explained.
Cathy has also opened up about suffering with lymphedema.
The condition, which causes swelling to limbs due to excess fluid from inflamed tissue, is a common post-cancer side effect.

Kathy has battled cancer twice.
She was originally diagnosed with stage one ovarian cancer in 2003, which she fought off with chemotherapy.
MEDICAL BATTLE
Later in 2012, doctors found a tumour in her left breast which she treated with a mastectomy.
Kathy admitted that her weight loss helped with her lymphedema.
“I’ve lost a lot of weight and it’s really helped with my symptoms. I just still have to wear compression sleeves or guard against nicks and bug bites because that can lead to sepsis,” she added.
Kathy is currently acting as Madeline Matlock in the CBS reboot of the original legal drama, Matlock.
The original role starred Andy Griffith as Ben Matlock.
The show is set to be released either late 2024 or 2025.
