JUSTIN Timberlake is on board to reunite with his old band NSYNC for a 30th anniversary project.
Insiders confirmed to The U.S. Sun that Justin, 43, and the four singers, who first came together as a boy band in 1995, are “closer than ever” to a full-scale return.
Insiders said all five band members are considering a live comeback show, which would be filmed and sold to a streaming network.
But the band is not interested in a Las Vegas residency, even though offers have reportedly come in from MGM Resorts and Resorts World.
Plans on the table include recording a new album and even a documentary about their rise to the top of pop in the 90s.
Justin has remained close to Lance Bass, Chris Kirkpatrick, JC Chasez and Joey Fatone despite his solo success.

The source claimed Lance and Chris are the “driving forces” behind the proposals, and have held tentative talks with Justin.
BIG ANNIVERSARY
“Justin told the others that he is committed to a project next year to mark the big 30,” the insider said of the band, who reunited to present at the 2023 MTV VMAs and recorded a single for the Trolls Band Together soundtrack the same year.
In March, Justin was joined onstage by his former bandmates during a stop on his Forget the World Tour, and they collaborated on the track Paradise off his latest album, Everything I Thought It Was.
But the latest collaboration will be much bigger, the insider insisted.
“The guys have always known that a major reunion should happen, but with them all heading toward 50 the timing is important – especially if a performance is involved.
“There are lots of proposals on the table but one major idea is that they put together a docuseries about their journey.
“All of them would come together and talk about their experiences in the band.
“The success of the David Beckham documentary showed what can be created by revisiting 90s pop culture history.
“There would be interest from all the streamers for a project like that.
“And people forget that NSYNC’s story is vast, controversial and features interactions with many A-listers with so many inside details to be spilled.
“It is not just all about Justin and his dramas. Each band member has untold stories and secrets to spill. The revelations that the boys are sitting on are huge.”

The band members encountered some extraordinary times before, during and after their time as one of 90s pop’s biggest influences.
No one in the group has spoken in detail about subjects such as their late manager Lou Pearlman’s criminal case.
Justin went through love and loss with Britney Spears, while Lance Bass hid his sexuality for fear of backlash.
JC was linked to Eva Longoria in the past.
“Music is definitely involved, but the reunion on stage is a little trickier,” the source continued. “Certainly there is a definite plan to join forces and sing some hits no matter what comes next.
“However how they plays out is still in the mix. There have been ideas like a ‘one night only’ recorded special where they come together in front of a celebrity audience which is included in the docuseries, or is actually presented to a network or streamer as the project.
“It’s obvious that would generate a huge amount of money.
“Then there is the mega ambitious proposal for a full-scale comeback gig at a prestigious venue like the Hollywood Bowl which would be recorded for sale.
“However that doesn’t mean that the band would head out back on the road. They have been offered opportunities to play residencies in Vegas but are not going down that road.
“They have written some musical ideas and been offered tracks for a new single which could expand into a new album or expanded greatest hits.
“Certainly there is much love from the fanbase to spark interest in their music having a big comeback for a new generation.”
JUSTIN’S FRESH START
“Justin could do with some good press too after the last year of being thrown under the bus by Britney and his driving issue,” the source said of the star, who was arrested on DWI charges in June.
He later pleaded guilty to a traffic violation, and was ordered to pay a $500 fine and complete 25 hours of community service.
Last year, Britney made the bombshell claim in her memoir that Justin pushed her to have an abortion when she became pregnant with his baby at 19.
“If the group comes together for something major, a lot of those controversies will be forgotten,” the insider continued.
