Cal in Red Announces Debut Album Low Low and Headlining U.S. Tour / Share lead single and video for ‘She Won’t Say’

The debut album, Low Low, is set for release on August 30th, 2024 via B3SCI Records.
Alongside the announcement of their upcoming debut album and headlining U.S. tour, the band has unveiled the album’s lead single, ‘She Won’t Say,’ accompanied by a Kelly McKerr-directed video that brings a daydream to life. The track, featuring lilting guitar and synth melodies with a ‘90s house music rhythm, evolves into a blissful earworm.
Kendall Wright shares:
“This song comes out of the gate quickly and was always meant to be short. It didn’t need three choruses and a massive intro. The line ‘He’s just thinking what she won’t say,’ sums up the whole song. It’s about not wanting to come to terms with the inevitable, as woozy synths lock into this hazy, smoky trance.”
Their debut album Low Low took four years to create, exploring various musical urges and genres, while maintaining their signature melodic vignettes. The album includes a guest appearance by The Shins’ frontman James Mercer on the single ‘Kitchen.’
