Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark tour 2024: Where to buy tickets

Nearly 50 years after the advent of New Wave, the genre feels as fresh as ever.

Case in point, OMD, aka Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, just released their 14th studio album “Bauhaus Staircase” and it’s just as danceable, heartfelt and catchy as their early ’80s output.

To celebrate the new record, the band will hit the road from September through October on their ‘Bauhaus Staircase Tour’ with special guest Walt Disco.

Midway through the 27-concert run, Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys group are scheduled to drop into New York City’s Terminal 5 on Thursday, Oct. 10 and Huntington’s Paramount on Saturday, Oct. 12.

And if you can’t wait to bliss out to “If You Leave,” “Enola Gay,” and “Bauhaus Staircase,” tickets can be grabbed as soon as today.

Although inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster until Friday, Feb. 23, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats before tickets are officially on sale.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

OMD new music

“Bauhaus Staircase” hit shelves on Oct. 27, 2023.

The 12-track record is an exercise in trippy electronica, ethereal dance music, earnest balladry.

Standouts include the party-starting “Anthropocene,” the would be 80s anthem “Look At You Now” and bouncy “Slow Train.”

However, the retro-futurist “Kleptocracy” was the track we couldn’t get enough of; the three-minute bop will surely be a crowd pleaser on the upcoming run.

Don’t sleep on the Depeche Mode-like “Evolution Of Species,” either. After a few listens, we’ve decided to play it on repeat around the office for the foreseeable future.

OMD special guest

At all shows, OMD will be joined by the alt-indie group Walt Disco.

Their anarchic, energetic sound is a nice complement to OMD’s cool and controlled brand of new wave.
