SINCE shooting to fame at the Capital Radio Breakfast host, Roman Kemp has gone on to become one of the UK’s leading broadcasters.
Now the kindhearted star is doing his bit for charity and is taking part in Soccer Aid 2024.
Who is Roman Kemp?
Roman Kemp, born January 28, 1993, is a British radio host and television presenter.
Born in Los Angeles, USA, he is the son of famous parents Martin Kemp and Shirlie Holliman.
His dad Martin was the bassist with 80s legends Spandau Ballet, while mum Shirlie was formerly a member of Wham!.
In addition to growing up with parents in the spotlight, Roman’s godfather was the late George Michael.
Throughout his career, Roman has become a notable name in the world of radio, and was just 22 when he first joined Capital FM in 2014.
However in February 2024, the star revealed that he has made the decision to leave the popular station.
The news of his Capital Radio departure came after The Sun revealed it was revealed that Jordan North had signed a big money deal to join the Capital FM Breakfast team after quitting Radio 1.
Announcing the news alongside his co-hosts Sian Welby and Chris Stark, Roman said: “I’ve got quite a big announcement and it is one that is really weird to say out loud.
“It’s really odd, to be honest I had no idea how I start this. So I’ll come out and say it.
“This is going to be my last six weeks on Capital.
“Which is a weird thing to say.”
He continued: “What I can tell you is I’m not saying goodbye right now.
“I’m not leaving the show today and that’s it, but it’s not far away.
“It will come and that goodbye will come in five to six weeks.
I know that it started out as me being just Martin Kemp’s son, I hope that now you can call me your friend.

“It’s not a decision that has come overnight either, it’s massive, I’ve not found it easy at all.
“Capital is my family, you as the wonderful listeners that you’ve been, you’ve been with me at my best times and my absolute lowest.
“I know that it started out as me being just Martin Kemp’s son, I hope that now you can call me your friend.”
Roman added: “I’ve loved every single moment of my time at Capital.
“The last 10 years have been amazing and hosting the legendary Capital Breakfast is the best job ever.”

The successful star has built his wealth through his radio career and his TV work.
As a result of such success, Roman now lives in a modern London pad – which he moved into back in 2020 and referred to as his ”dream” flat.

Is Roman Kemp in a relationship?
Radio host Roman tends to keep his relationships private, however, he has occasionally shared a glimpse into his love life with fans and followers in the past.
He split up from his girlfriend of three years Anne-Sophie Flury in June 2020, after the pair started dating in 2018.
A source close to the star exclusively told The Sun at the time: “Roman loved Soph and things had been going really well for them.
“But being in lockdown is tough for any couple and they just weren’t able to make things work, which has been upsetting and tough for them both.”
As of 2024, Roman is understand to be a single man.

In addition to earning radio success, Roman Kemp has also appeared on a number of TV shows.
He was a campmate on the nineteenth series of the hit ITV show I’m A Celebrity back in 2019, and came third overall.
Roman has also fronted BBC Three documentary Roman Kemp: Our Silent Emergency which looked at male mental health.
The star is also known for working with his dad on both Celebrity Gogglebox and Martin and Roman’s Sunday Best!.
Since August 2023, Roman has been one of the main presenters of The One Show.
