50 Cent and ‘John Wick’ Director Chad Stahelski Join Forces for New Series

50 Cent and Chad Stahelski are working together on a new original series for Paramount+, as reported by Deadline.

The show is tentatively titled Vice City, and has nothing to do with Grand Theft Auto. It tells the story of three friends and former soldiers in their mid-’80s, who return to their home city of Miami after they’re dishonorably discharged from the military for their involvement in the Iran Contra scandal. Without any legitimate job prospects, the trio meet their financial needs by partnering with a mysterious Colombian immigrant and forming a heist crew.

Vice City will be produced by Paramount Television Studios, Lionsgate Television, and 50 Cent through his G-Unit Film & Television banner. Stahelski, who directed all four John Wick films, will serve as an executive producer and director. The series is based on an original idea from Darnell Metayer and Josh Peters, both of whom penned the green-lit draft of the upcoming film Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.

50 recently made waves when he offered up his two cents to former BET CEO Debra Lee’s revelation that she had a relationship with the network’s founder Bob Johnson while they were both married.

“Wow Deb must got that WAP,” he wrote in the caption of an Instagram post. “He gave her the whole sh*t, here you run it bae! LOL.” 50 also joked that “you would not believe what goes on behind the scenes” at BET.
