Marvel confirmed new details about The Fantastic Four film during its Comic-Con presentation on Saturday. Most notably, the movie now has a title: The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
Set to open in theaters on July 25th, 2025, The Fantastic Four: First Steps stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards / Mr. Fantastic; Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm / Invisible Woman; Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm / Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm / The Thing.
The cast also includes Ralph Ineson as Galactus and Julia Garner as Shalla-Bal / Silver Surfer, along with John Malkovich, Paul Walter Hauser, and Natasha Lyonne in undisclosed roles.
Filming is set to begin this coming Tuesday, July 30th. Director Matt Shakman described the setting as taking place in the “retro future of the ‘60s,” complete with flying cars. Academy Award-winning composer Michael Giacchino will create the score for First Steps.
Additionally, Marvel confirmed that the cast of Fantastic Four will appear in the next two Avengers films.
