Napheesa Collier is a star player in the WNBA. She has been playing for the Minnesota Lynx since 2019. She just shared a new set of photos on Instagram. In them, Collier wore a lavender one shoulder workout top and black workout pants. She received a lot of compliments in the post’s comments, including “simply stunning.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Napheesa Collier stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.
In an interview with The Players Tribune, Collier shared her mantra for getting through rough times. “Everything is temporary. That’s the mantra I use to get myself through hard practices, and the same idea can help us get through this tough period. Eventually it’s going to end, you just have to push through. You really just have to take it a little bit at a time — if you look at the full picture, it can seem daunting. But if you just take it one day at a time and stick to your routine, it’s just way easier to handle everything.“
Collier shared some of her fitness secrets in her interview with The Player Tribune. She says that she goes on walks with her dog. “I have my mini goldendoodle. I take her on walks around our little cul-de-sac, to get her moving. She’s getting a little chubby. She’s just a puppy, so she’s not fully house-trained. We’ve been working on that. That’s been a full-time job so far.”
Collier opened up about her career in an interview with Town & Style. She says that she’s lucky to have had a lot of supportive coaches. “I’ve been really lucky with my coaches, even when I first started in Jeff City. All the way up to now, I’ve had a line of great coaches. At each stage, each one has helped me grow with the game and mentally.”
One of Collier’s workout secrets? Having a great playlist. She shared some of the artists on that playlist with The Player Tribune. “I usually listen to some Drake when I train. I do the Drizzy station, or me and Alex will put on 2000s hip-hop and R & B throwbacks, get some Usher going. Usher might not be the best workout music actually, but it’s still pretty good — fun to have on any time.”
Collier feels very lucky and grateful for her job. She shared some of the perks of being a basketball player with Town & Style. “The freedom I have. I realize how lucky I am that I don’t have to have a nine-to-five desk job. I’m also thankful that I have the ability to travel, see my family and do what I want in the off season.”
