Jennifer Lopez Breaks Social Media Silence With New Video Amid Divorce

The famous entertainer shared a carefree video that featured some of her friends enjoying a drink from her Delola brand.

Jennifer Lopez filed to divorce Ben Affleck after months of heavy speculations suggesting their marriage had hit the rocks.

With millions of eyes on her every move following her recent divorce filing, Lopez returned to Instagram with a playful video.

In the clip, which she captioned “the ultimate holiday weekend combo,” the “Hustlers” actress could be seen promoting her Delola brand and pouring drinks for her friends at her and Affleck’s Beverly Hills mansion, which they placed on the market in July for $68 million.

She shared the same clip to her Instagram Story, adding a smiling sun sticker and a “hello long weekend” note.

Lopez wore a baby blue workout set that showed off her toned Physique and also sported a semi-sheer sports bra layered over a triangle top and matching, high-waisted leggings.

She completed the look with white sneakers and styled her brunette locks in a loose pigtail. The singer also sported oversized, brown-tinted sunglasses, gold hoop earrings, and a matching chain-linked bracelet.

Fans of the singer left kind words in the comment section of her post as they noted how happy Lopez looked.

The singer’s video comes nearly two weeks after she filed for divorce from Affleck at the Los Angeles County Superior Court.

Sources told People Magazine that Lopez tried to manage Affleck’s dull moods all through their marriage and that she was like a mother to him.

The “Accountant 2” actor reportedly gets “frustrated” often and goes to a “dark place” even though he has a beautiful wife and three children with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

“Jennifer did spend a lot of time making sure Ben was happy and had everything he needed,” the insider told the news outlet, adding that Affleck was more like her son than a partner.

“The way she cared for him was almost childlike,” they continued. “Friends constantly reminded her that she’s not responsible for his feelings. He’s very moody and dark at times.”

Lopez, on the other hand, “appreciates life in another way” and is “very grateful for everything.”

Her failed marriage with Affleck star reportedly left her “upset and disappointed” with the “Gone Girl” star, as she thought that their reignited romance would stand the test of time.

The pair previously dated and got engaged in the early 2000s but called off their engagement in 2004 due to the intensity of public scrutiny their relationship was exposed to at the time.

A source told People that the divorce “really hit her hard” and that “She’s very upset and disappointed with Ben.”

The insider went further to share that the “Ain’t Your Mama” singer isn’t comfortable living in the marital home she and Affleck bought in May 2023 for a reported $60 million.

“She and Ben bought the house for the whole family. It’s way too big for her and filled with too many memories as well,” the source said.

Reports earlier claimed that their divorce proceeding would go amicably, as Lopez rejected spousal support from Affleck and asked the judge to block it for him.

However, a source with inside information suggests that things may have gone awry, prompting the singer to fight for a divorce settlement.

According to In Touch, the insider disclosed that Lopez decided to pull the plug on their marriage after she discovered that Affleck had been spending their second wedding anniversary with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.

“J. Lo is vowing to make Ben rue the day he decided to make her look like a loser!” the insider said.

The singer reportedly tried to salvage their marriage from falling apart but was livid after Affleck flew to Connecticut with Garner to help their daughter Violet resume school at Yale University.

“It’s no exaggeration to say J. Lo hates his guts,” the source added. “He’s made her look like a total fool by parading around with his ex-wife. Now she’s ready to go for his jugular!”
