Cardi B was all smiles while displaying Beyoncé’s handwritten message to her on social media.
“Look what Beyoncé sent me, read it bitch,” Cardi said while holding a vinyl copy of Bey’s recently-released album Renaissance.
Cardi then joked about her plans to protect the vinyl in a manner that’ll electrocute anyone who even gets near the prized possession.
“It’s so beautiful, so lovely,” she said. “I’m gonna put it in a glass frame with laser beams on it. Anybody who gets motherfucking next to it is gonna get electrocuted on motherfucking sight. And I just wanna say thank you so much, I feel so special,” Cardi concluded before singing a few lines from the Renaissance cut “Plastic Off the Sofa.”
Bey’s note reads, “To: Cardi B. Hard working, beautiful and talented queen, thank you for always supporting me. Sending so much love to you and yours. Respect, Beyoncé.”
Cardi previously appeared in Beyoncé’s first TikTok, promoting the release of her single “Break My Soul.”
The clip was taken from Cardi’s Instagram Live where she delivered some explicit bars while rapping over the beat to “Break My Soul.”
In a 2018 GQ profile, Cardi admitted at the time that she becomes “too shy” when meeting certain celebrities, which included her first interaction with Beyoncé. “Nah. I’m too nervous. I’m too shy,” she said. “When I met Beyoncé, people be like, ‘How that felt? I bet you was mad happy.’”
“It’s like, ‘Actually, I wanted to shit on myself.’ It was a very scary thing,” Cardi continued. “All she was doing was like, ‘Hi. I love your music.’ And I was like”—here Cardi emitted a voice-cracking wail—“UHHHN!”
