Step aside, Joey Wheeler — this Japanese YouTuber’s got you beat. In fact, his long chin has made him a viral sensation with hundreds of thousands of followers across social media.
He goes by the name ‘Jōnouchi’ online, boasting 348K subscribers on YouTube and 410K followers on TikTok who tune in to watch his humorous videos poking fun at his long chin.
In fact, he claims he’s got the “world’s longest chin,” which he says started sprouting when he was around five years old.
After a friend pointed it out to him at school, Jōnouchi started fastidiously drinking milk to grow taller and balance out his features — but instead, “only [his] chin got longer.”

The influencer underwent dental X-rays and sought help from medical professionals to understand why his chin was so long, but even they were left puzzled by the situation. It’s still unknown why his chin developed in such a way, but he has some theories.
“There are a couple of reasons why a chin might stick out like this,” he said in a YouTube video. “The first is congenital, meaning someone was born with it, or it’s naturally prominent. The second is acquired: the chin gradually grows longer over time due to certain habits.”
He went on to explain that where you place your tongue in your mouth might have something to do with the overall shape of your face and jaw — a sentiment brought into the mainstream by Dr. John Mew, progenitor of the viral ‘mewing’ trend online.
“If you leave your tongue sitting low all the time, that force pushes on your lower jaw, and over time, it gradually causes your chin to extend outward,” he continued. “So your jaw literally gets longer. For me, that’s exactly what happened — it kept stretching out over time.”
Jōnouchi has also admitted that having such a long chin made his dating life difficult as a teen, saying he was nicknamed ‘chin’ in school and was rejected by a girl because of his unique face.
He isn’t letting the haters bring him down, though. Instead, he’s made a name for himself online by highlighting his super-long chin, poking fun at himself and being honest about what life is like with his condition.
Thanks to the oodles of viral memes he’s made about himself, Jōnouchi has amassed over one million followers combined across his social media pages — and he’s not the only one who’s making headlines thanks to his chin.
In 2022, a disabled Twitch streamer named ‘SeanDidWhat’ took over the internet after beating an Elden Ring boss using only his chin.
