The nearly 15-year-old beef between Kevin Durant and Lil B sparked to life again over the weekend. After news broke that KD was traded to the Houston Rockets, Lil B chirped him on Twitter, prompting Durant to respond.

Kevin Durant and Lil B have been beefing for close to 15 years now, as their war of words extends all the way back to 2011, with Lil B famously placing a “curse” on Durant, which he then “lifted” after the NBA legend joined his hometown Golden State Warriors in 2016, helping the franchise win another two NBA titles.

Following Durant’s trade from the Phoenix Suns to the Houston Rockets — making it the fifth franchise the future Hall of Famer has played for — Lil B hopped on social media to fire a shot at the 36-year-old forward.

“Kevin Durant really ain’t bout no basketball s— yo ain’t got no real paper you really just a ho pull up whenever u ready any basketball court on earth I mean that im waiting for you,” Lil B tweeted in the wake of the trade.

“Broke boy asking for a feature in my DM..u wouldn’t be able to get a shot off on me lil one, you was once a thing, I’m still that,” Durant responded at 3 o’clock in the morning o Monday, June 23.

In exchange for the 15-time NBA All-Star, the Phoenix Sun received guard Jalen Green, guard-forward Dillon Brooks, the No. 10 pick in the 2025 draft, and five second-round picks.

The trade saw the Houston Rockets vault into the top four betting favorites for next year’s title alongside the defending-champion Oklahoma City Thunder, Cleveland Cavaliers, and New York Knicks.
