Popular TikTok couple Brynne and Mario have launched a podcast together, but fans have pointed out one major issue with the show’s name and intro.
After years of making content on their own, TikTokers Brynnemarieeee and Mario Mirante began officially dating on Valentine’s Day 2024.
Fans were immediately excited about the new relationship, and the two have skyrocketed in popularity as a couple in the months since then.
Brynne and Mario revealed their new show, the Pretty Funny Podcast, on March 15, 2025, but viewers almost immediately had one major concern with its name and intro.
Brynne and Mario fans point out podcast name similarities
“Welcome to the very first episode of the Pretty Funny podcast. I’m pretty, and I’m funny,” they said together in the announcement video.
The video quickly went viral across TikTok, with many mentioning the fact that Mario almost always ends his videos with his tagline “Follow me, I’m pretty funny,” and speculating that it could have been the inspiration for the podcast name.
Another podcast with the same name quickly noticed the show’s similarities, however, and posted a clip of their show intro alongside Mario and Brynne’s.
“I’m Jordan and I’m pretty, and I’m Francesca and I’m funny. We’re the Pretty Funny podcast,” they said in the clip before adding: “Hey Pretty Funny Podcast, so this is awkward…”
“Mario has always ended his videos with ‘follow me, I’m pretty funny’ so this is definitely just an accident but it’s nice that you guys are being cool about it,” one user replied to the existing show’s podcast.
Another viewer said: “Not everyone needs a podcast, and there’s already two called the pretty funny podcast.”
Others suggested slight changes to the show’s name, with one user mentioning “hot and hilarious” as an alternative.
Neither Brynne nor Mario have commented on the backlash surrounding the name of their new podcast at the time of writing.
This isn’t the first bit of influencer podcast drama to go viral recently, either. In late February, Alix Earle’s podcast was dropped from the Unwell Network amid rumors of a conflict between her and its owner, Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper.
