The winner of Beast Games revealed what it was like filming for MrBeast’s game show, saying he was completely unaware of what day or time it was during the weeks he stayed in Beast City.
Beast Games winner Jeffrey Allen was a competitor from start to finish. After making it through to the top 1,000 players, Allen moved into ‘Beast City.’ Though he enjoyed every moment leading up to his win, contestant #831 revealed there were strict rules while filming.
Allen recounted not having access to the time, as the contestants couldn’t use any devices. “They took away all of our technology and locked it in the safe. No phone, no computer, no internet, no watches, no smartwatches, no clocks,” he said.
Allen told the Daily Mail that, while he filmed Episode 9, he finally had the chance to talk with one of MrBeast’s friends. Since he wasn’t given an opportunity to keep track of the time, he was shocked to find out it was already the NFL season.
“I remember it was the second to last challenge in Episode 9, I got to talk to somebody on the Towers,” he recalled.

“I remember asking them what they were doing tomorrow, and they told me, ‘The NFL season is starting.’ And I just remember thinking, ‘It’s September already?’ You’re just in a different world.”
Allen also said that in most cases, filming took place after 12 AM, often going for hours before he could retreat to his bunk bed.
“Most of the filming was done at night, especially the outdoor challenges, because of the lighting. It was a lot of filming from 11 PM until 4 AM or 5 AM.”
Though it was difficult to be away from his wife and two young children, Allen applied for Beast Games for a good reason. His seven-year-old son Lucas was diagnosed with Creatine Transporter Deficiency (CTD) at two years old. The disorder is rare, resulting in little treatment.

However, before winning, Allen vowed to use the grand prize to help find a cure for CTD. Now, with $10M in his name, the Beast Games winner has just begun his journey to cure his son’s condition.
