Momentum Builds For Beyond the Gates’ Debut As Soap Celebrates First Public Screening Milestone

The buzz continues to surround Beyond the Gates (BTG) as the new soap is only two weeks away from its historic debut, which takes place on CBS, come Monday, February 24 at 2 p.m. ET.

Promos and trailers have been released so far, and the internet is a flurry of activity right when it comes to fans and speculation on what will unfold in the a suburb of Maryland where the show takes place.

The cast and crew continue to pump up excitement through a variety of social media posts, anticipation continues to increase all across the soap opera world.

BTG’s cast and crew recently celebrated a huge milestone, on the road to their huge television debut, as the show had its first public screening, at SCAD TVFest.

SCAD TVFest highlights the latest in innovation and creativity for television, streaming, and digital projects.

It took place from last week from February 5 to 7, in Atlanta, which also happens to be the same city that the soap shoots in.

In addition to the first-ever public screening at the event, Editor and Chief of Black Girl Nerds, Jamie Broadnax, hosted a panel discussion, after the show was screened.

Those on the panel included BTG’s Executive Producer and President of CBS Studios/NAACP venture Sheila Duckworth, along with some of the new soap’s cast members Clifton Davis (Vernon Dupree), Karla Mosley (Dani Dupree), and Daphnée Duplaix (Dr. Nicole Dupree Richardson).

Duckworth took the time to upload some photos on the social media platform, X, tweeting out, “Our very first screening. Thank you for having us SCAD TV FEST @MicheleValJean #BeyondTheGates 022425”

Meanwhile, Mosley uploaded several photos on her Instagram, where she thanked SCAD TVFest for having them, and gave a “shout out” to Jamie Broadnax for the post-viewing panel chat.

Morley’s photos included one of her, along with co-stars Duplaix and Davis, as well as one with just her and Duckworth, a snapshot of her on stage with her colleagues during the panel discussion.

The last one uploaded was a pic of fellow BTGers, Sean Freeman (Andre Richardson) and Lauren Buglioli (Vanessa McBride) at SCAD TVFest, posing next to a promo poster for the soap.

The feedback on social media seems to indicate that the first public-viewing of the new daytime drama was a smashing success!

Beyond the Gates spoilers hint that the proverbial drama and chaos will hit the fan at the Fairmont Crest gated community, once the show debuts.

Who will emerge as the show’s top heroes, heroines, villains, and villainess as they take center stage? Fans will have to tune in to find out!
