Electronic Arts has announced the lineup for Madden Bowl 2025, one of many Super Bowl Week music events scheduled to take place before the big game.
The longtime Madden NFL developer just recently unveiled the happening, full billing EA Sports Presents Madden Bowl. Scheduled for February 7th at the Orpheum Theater, Madden Bowl 2025 has booked Jelly Roll, Chris Stapleton, and Shaboozey as headliners.
Also set to perform the largely country-focused event are Trombone Shorty (alongside the New Breed Brass Band) and Tucker Wetmore, touted as “one of the biggest rising stars in country radio.”
On the gaming front, Madden Bowl 2025 is poised to crown the winner of the namesake football series’ official tournament, with the top players at hand competing “for their share of $1 million USD in total prizing.” That showdown will initiate at 4 PM PT, airing live on Twitch and YouTube.
Not stopping there, the company behind Madden NFL – about which a four-part docuseries released on Prime Video in November – has further teed up an EA Sports 99 Club After Party. Among other things, this post-Madden Bowl party “will feature an intimate set from an undisputed music icon who will bring the swagger to the stage,” according to the business.
Meanwhile, other Super Bowl Week outings are moving forward with appearances and/or performances from well-known acts.
Perhaps the most conspicuous absence here is TikTok Tailgate, which last year brought a livestream show from Gwen Stefani. As pretty much everyone knows by now, the ByteDance-owned app’s stateside fate is far from certain – though the platform is still exploring marketing opportunities in different nations.
Nevertheless, the NFL this past Friday announced Snoop Dogg as the host of NFL Honors, the league’s “primetime awards special recognizing the NFL’s best players, performances and plays.” The Saenger Theatre-booked award show is slated for February 6th, a full three days before the big game and Kendrick Lamar’s Apple Music-sponsored halftime performance.
Plus, Friday, February 7th, will deliver several competing late-night parties in The Big Easy. Diplo is expected to entertain fans at New Orleans’ Generations Hall, for instance, while Shaq’s Fun House will go down at Mardi Gras World with shows from the NBA legend (as DJ Diesel), John Summit, and Ludacris.
Generations Hall will also host Maxim’s Saints and Sinners Super Bowl Party – albeit on the evening of Saturday, February 8th, when performers including Loud Luxury, Timbaland, Plastik Funk, DJ Unkommon, and more will take the stage.
Staying decidedly busy, Diplo is likewise headlining (with Dom Dolla) Sports Illustrated’s own Mardi Gras World party on the 8th. And on Super Bowl Sunday, the 46-year-old will provide “an exclusive country music inspired DJ set” at Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Tailgate, featuring Flavor Flav and Cowboy Mouth to boot.
