David Dobrik, who is among the most popular YouTube creators on planet earth, just legitimately shocked his friends by revealing his 12-month-long body transformation in which he went from resembling the Pillsbury Doughboy to becoming legitimately jacked. How David Dobrik was able to hide this 12-month body transformation from his friends for so long might be the most impressive part of it all.

I say that because the reality is, no matter how badly out of shape you are, if you start exercising and eating healthily right now then 12 months from now you will look and feel better. I’ve been back in the gym pushing weights for the past 8 months and I’m in the best shape I’ve been in over the past decade. All you have to do is… do it. Build the habit and the results will follow.

David Dobrik revealed his body transformation to his friends in a video yesterday that’s blowing up on YouTube but he also shared before and after photos from his 12-month fitness journey. To get jacked he worked with his friend Ilya as his trainer. Here are the results with the video down below:

If you look in the mirror and want to see a change then let this be the inspiration you’ve been looking for. Start with some sets of push-ups and crunches for a few days. Mix in planks, burpees, and toe touches after that. Give yourself 2 weeks at home to get your muscles out of atrophy then move into the gym. By this time next year you will feel and look incredible.

The full YouTube video is 14+ minutes long. It’s currently trending at #1 on YouTube’s charts with his millions of subscribers blown away at how he hid this from everyone for a year.

Not for nothing, getting what appears to be a spray tan for the body transformation reveal has him looking significantly more jacked than if he was pale. But the great think about being shredded/jacked/in shape is you can’t fake it. It’s not possible. If you look at someone and they have defined muscles they worked hard for that 7 days a week. So big ups to him for putting in the work:

Today was my ‘rest day’ from the gym and I’m suddenly feeling lazy. Tomorrow is a 2-a-day situation for me with weights in the morning and a spin class tomorrow night. I’m serious about getting in even better shape this year than I have in the past 12 months. Did I expect to get inspired by a David Dobrik body transformation to start the new year? I did not. But here we are.
