A man who says he spent over 25 years in the military recently described his terrifying encounter with a bright UFO he saw while camping in California. During the course of describing the harrowing event, he said it was like nothing he had ever experienced before.
He described the UFO as being 20 to 30 feet in length and 8 to 10 feet in height. He also stated that the mysterious craft was oval-shaped, emitted a white light, and got to within 100 yards of his campsite in Mountain Center, Calif.
“At approximately 11:00 p.m. I was laying in the tarped bed of my truck in the Santa Rosa Mountain Yellow Post campsites at about 7,800 foot elevation,” the military veteran wrote in his report that was submitted to the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC). “I was the only camper/hunter in the area that night and it was pitch black out.
“Instantly, everything (all natural animal/insect noises) went completely silent and the entire area lit up brighter than the brightest full moon I’ve ever seen. But I knew it wasn’t the moon because I had already located the moon prior to that and it was a dimly lit waning gibbous.
“Thinking a really quiet truck was pulling into the campground with its headlights on, I peeked out from under the tarp and saw a stationary, bright white light, about 20-30 foot in length (about the size of a medium sized helicopter but with the light encompassing the entire object), hovering at tree top level, behind an about 30-40 foot tall pine tree, only about 100 yards away. It made absolutely no noise, didn’t pulsate or move, and did not radiate any sort of heat (it was about 40 degrees Fahrenheit that evening).
“I observed it for at least a minute before fear took over and I sank back down into the bed of my truck and into my sleeping bag. Therefore I have no idea what it did or where it moved after that. I must’ve fell asleep and didn’t come back out of my sleeping bag until approximately 2:30 a.m., drenched in sweat, at which time it was gone, and everything was pitch black again.
“I was completely sober and not tired nor sleep deprived at the time of this sighting. I stayed the next night at the same campsite (only because I didn’t recall this incident until two days later) and did not experience any further bright lights.
“I’m no expert tracker, but I did not notice any out of the ordinary tracks or signs in the vicinity of the sighting over the next two days. I’ve backpacked/hunted the backcountry routinely for the past 15 years, spent over 25 years in the military, and I’ve never experienced anything like this before.”
This military veteran’s story has gained credence recently due to the numerous unexplained drone slash UFO sightings that have been taking place all over the United States.
In addition to the widely-publicized drone sightings over New Jersey, there have also been reports made in Ohio, in San Diego County and other parts of Southern California, over Bowie, Maryland, and at Ramstein Air Base in Germany.
On top of those strange witness reports, RadarOnline.com recently obtained new photos and video of some of the suspected drones that have been terrorizing residents around Staten Island.
The media outlet also reports similar sightings have been reported in Connecticut, Florida, and Massachusetts. Those drone sightings and many others are now being tracked by an interactive map published by DailyMail.com.
