Michel de Nostredame, AKA Nostradamus, is well known for the hundreds of predictions he made in the 16th century. In fact, he wrote over 900 of them in his 1555 collection of poems and quatrains titled Les Propheties.
Whether any of them have actually come true depend on how one interprets them. They were written in no chronological order, in French, Greek, Latin and Occitan, and are all rather cryptic.
Some of the predictions that Nostradamus has supposedly gotten correct involve major world events. From the rise of Napoleon and the world wars to the Great Fire of London and the nuclear decimation of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
More recently, it has been claimed that Nostradamus predicted the catastrophic earthquake that occurred in Japan on New Year’s Day in 2024.
So what does he have in store for us in 2025?
“When those from the lands of Europe, see England set up her throne behind. Her flanks, there will be cruel wars,” is one prediction, via The Standard. “The kingdom will be marked by wars so cruel, foes from within and without will arise. A great pestilence from the past returns, no enemy more deadly under the skies.”
So England has a devastating war and the resurgence of an ancient plague to look forward to in 2025.
“Through long war all the army exhausted,so that they do not find money for the soldiers; instead of gold or silver, they will come to coin leather, Gallic brass, and the crescent sign of the Moon,” Nostradamus also wrote, the New York Post reports.
That prediction is being interpreted as an end to the war between Russia and Ukraine.
He also makes references to “lights in the sky” and “new worlds discovered” in 2025. Those, some suggest, refer to space exploration.
“From the cosmos, a fireball will rise, A harbinger of fate, the world pleads,” he also wrote. “Science and fate in a cosmic dance, The fate of the Earth, a second chance.”
Does that mean that one of the many asteroids that have come close to hitting Earth will finally make contact?
If so, it is a good thing that Nostradamus also predicts “significant improvements in illness prevention and treatment” in 2025.
That is also good because South America appears to be in line for some trouble over the next 12 months.
“Garden of the world near the new city, In the path of the hollow mountains: It will be seized and plunged into the Tub, forced to drink waters poisoned by sulphur,” the French seer wrote, which is being interpreted as climate change causing volcanic eruptions and floods in Brazil.
As for the “mysterious leader” who emerges to form an “aquatic empire” in 2025? Perhaps that it what Baba Vanga was referring to when she predicted we would finally come into contact with aliens sometime over the next year.
