Soccer professional Sydney Leroux posted a video on Instagram her doing the suspect trend from social media, having fun on the field with the caption “suspect Syd #bffr #suspectchallenge #dryjanuary,” reposted from the @bffrshow hosted by her and @rileythree. Here’s how she stays in such great shape, remaining focused on her health and wellness goals.
She’s passing on her fearlessness and toughness to her children, celebrating their bravery even through hard moments. On Instagram, on a photo of her daughter with an injury from the playground, but still smiling, she said “the definition of everything I ever hoped for in a little girl. Tough, stubborn, loud, fearless and just getting started. (The monkey bars tried to fail her but she won).”
She sculpts and tones her body doing pilates. In a slideshow of photos and a video of her doing pilates poses, she said “back at it @pilateswithnickylal and I’m still shaking,” on Instagram. According to Better Health, “the health benefits of Pilates include improved flexibility, increased muscle strength and tone, particularly of your abdominal muscles, lower back, hips and buttocks (the ‘core muscles’ of your body), balanced muscular strength on both sides of your body, enhanced muscular control of your back and limbs,” and so much more.
She appreciates the sacrifices her family has made for her, and she now does the same for her children. “As a young player with @USYouthSoccer, my family was always traveling to games and tournaments, and now I get to do the same with my kids on their first teams. ⚽👩👧👦,” she said on Instagram.
She’s grateful for where life has taken her and the journey along the way. “The first picture popped up on my memories today and I spiraled. Anytime anyone asks me about having kids while they’re still playing I say, “WAIT!!!! Wait until you’re done. It changes your body, it changes your life, it changes everything and it’s A LOT”… with a few bad words mixed in for the drama. But then I see these pictures and our little journey together and I forget that there ever was a me without them. What a ride… and we’re still riding. 🥰❤️,” she said on Instagram.
She takes a moment to reflect and is proud of herself. “I’m so proud of all that I’ve accomplished, endured and overcome in this body of mine. It’s about time I say thank you. ❤️,” she said on Instagram.
