Bill Belichick has recently gone public with his 24 year old girlfriend Jordon Hudson and reactions to the relationship have been mixed given the 48-year age gap between the two.

Despite the public discussion, Bill Belichick certainly doesn’t seem embarrassed by the situation, as he enthusiastically posed for Halloween costume photos with Hudson on the beach.

In the photos, Belichick — grinning ear-to-ear — is dressed as a fisherman, while Hudson, born in the year 2000, is dressed as a mermaid. Their couple’s costume isn’t the only interesting (for lack of a better word) costume that the couple has worn this year, as Hudson was also dressed up *as* Belichick at one point this week.

“This is maybe the worst thing I’ve seen all week, and we’re 5 days away from a major election…” one tweet says.

“There is not a single thing that could have prepared me for this,” said another.

“Bill is a sicko fr. WTF do they talk about?” wondered one football fan.

“It’s nice that young lady has such a close relationship with her grandfather,” joked someone else.

Just to put into context how much older Belichick is than Hudson: she was born in the year 2000, which is when Belichick was a 48-year-old man embarking on his first season as head coach of the New England Patriots.

Not everyone has been critical of Belichick, however, with one football fan observing, “Damn, I need to win 8 Super Bowls.”

Earlier this week, former NFL quarterback and current Prime Video Thursday Night Football analyst Ryan Fitzpatrick even clowned on the age gap between Belichick and Hudson, saying on Twitter “For all you 48 year old hopeless romantics out there just think your future person may not even be born yet.”

Given how much Belichick seems to be enjoying life as a full-time Instagram boyfriend and football media personality (he’s been everywhere this season, from McAfee to Monday Night Football to Inside The NFL to commercials), it’s becoming difficult to imagine the legendary head coach wanting to abandon all of that to get back into coaching next season.
