Leticia Ras is showing off her swing – in her two-piece workout gear. In a new social media post the golfer and influencer flaunts her figure in shorts and a top at La Sella Club de Golf. “I feel like the game is in a good place and we are working towards something great. Onwards and upwards,” she captioned the Instagram snap. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
Leticia explains that “strength training and cardio” are crucial to prepare her body for the game. “From the experiences I have gathered throughout the years, I have gained a lot of knowledge on what my body requires and what it needs to perform at its best. A lot of people might believe that golfers don’t need to work out because it is not as physically demanding as many other sports. However, I have found that to play at the highest level, I need to maintain a high level of concentration for 6 hours a week. Exercise and maintaining a healthy lifestyle has enabled me to perform at a high level,” she explains on her website. “On the road, I listen to my body. My focus is on golf but I like to keep a fitness routine on tournament weeks. These would mainly be for maintenance.” She captioned a recent post of herself at the gym: “Pushing ourselves harder each day!!! 💪🏽⚡️An intense workout week for us 😄👍🏼.”
Leticia enjoys paddleboarding. “Got the chance to go paddle boarding in beautiful Kenya! What an experience 😍 Crystal clear blue waters 💎🌊,” she captioned a post. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and also a great form of cardio. The water sport can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140 pound male and 436 for a female the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.
Leticia is a hiker. “On top of the world,” she captioned an Instagram photo from one of her adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:
- Building stronger muscles and bones
- Improving your sense of balance
- Improving your heart health
- Decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems
Leticia enjoys winter sports, including snowboarding. “Powder days and good vibes with the best crew! 🎿🏂❄️ Now, the ultimate question: Are you Team Skiing or Team Snowboarding?” she captioned a post from the slopes.
Healthy eating and hydration is key, according to Leticia. “Whilst I am at home, I like to cook,” she said about one of the ways she keeps her diet on track. She also hydrates with vitamin enhanced water and “can’t get enough of it,” she wrote in a post. “Added vitamins to keep me hydrated throughout my practice and tournaments.” According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is important for a variety of reasons. Water helps get rid of waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature normal, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.
