I’m trading in cars until I get a Lamborghini… I started with a Mini and now drive a Porsche

TikTok star Ethan Overton is buying and selling cars until he can pick up a Lamborghini

AN AMBITIOUS TikTok star is hoping to one day buy a Lamborghini supercar by buying and selling second-hand motors.

Social media sensation Ethan Overton started off his car-flipping journey with a Mini and has since bought up and sold a selection of other motors – including a Porsche.

Ethan has documented his car trading journey on his Instagram and TikTok profiles, where he has amassed 100,000s of followers across three different accounts.

The car he started his challenge with back in May 2024 was a simple Mini, which he managed to sell for £995 after buying it for £325.

He then bought, fixed up and sold a “wrecked” Ford Fiesta ST, a popular hot hatchback that he bought for £2,450 and sold for £3,400 – which meant a tidy profit of £950.

Later in the series, he reveals that the Fiesta was in fact sold to his dad – who he joked “might be going through a midlife crisis” and claims he was given “a family discount”.

The car fanatic, who also posts long-form content on YouTube, then turned his attention to a Volkswagen Caddy – a small commercial vehicle often used by tradespeople.

The little van was bought for £1,600 and was worked on heavily by the youngster – but he admits he sold it “at a loss.”

His most recent project involved a lovely Porsche Boxster S – a stylish modern classic sports car that has become a firm favourite among enthusiasts in recent years.

He picked up the exotic German motor from CoPart – an online auction site that sells used and salvage vehicles.

He later decided to raffle it as part of a competition for his followers using the website Raffall.

Ethan wrote on the listing: “For less than a price of a meal deal, you could bag yourself this beauty.

Britain’s best-selling Ford has hidden ‘megabox’ that gives drivers extra luggage space – here’s how to find it

“It’s a 2001 Boxter S, 3.2-litre petrol monster.

“It’s got 64,000 miles on the clock, and is in mint exterior and interior condition.

“The car will be hand delivered to the winner by me as long as it’s within Europe, and will be featured in a few videos if happy to do so.”

The Boxster is eventually won in the raffle by a man named Callum from Worcester, who tells Ethan the Porsche is a “major upgrade” on the current motor he owns – a Skoda Fabia.

At the time of writing, Ethan appears to be waiting for his next car project, having sold off a small Chevrolet Matrix for scrap.

This comes as another TikTok star recently bought a wrecked luxury motor that once belonged to Premier League football star Marcus Rashford – before fixing it up.

Elsewhere, AI-powered traffic lights that can automatically stop cars to make room for cyclists during rush hours are being trialled for the first time.
