RAPPER Fatman Scoop revealed what inspired his music in a final interview before his death.
Fatman said that he saw a reel on Instagram from a friend who inspired him.
The rapper talked with FIVE Music earlier this month and they asked him what was a “big inspiration to your music.”
“Just life. I look at Instagram and a comedian might say something funny,” he said.
“I was watching Instagram one time and a friend of mine did an Instagram Story that said, ‘Don’t play with me because I play back’.”
He then gave the example of “if a man cheats on you, you cheat back.”
“It’s that simple,” the rapper said.
Fatman Scoop said that “inspiration comes from every angle.”
“It could be anything,” he said.
DJ DEVASTATION
The singer reportedly died on August 30 after collapsing on stage in Connecticut.
The hip-hop legends’ self-identified tour manager Birch Michael aka “Pure Cold” reported Fatman’s death on August 31.
“It is with the heaviest of hearts I announce the passing of Isaac Freeman III, known professionally as Fatman Scoop,” an Instagram post read.
“You taught me how to be the man I am today. I love you Scoop, Thank you so much for everything you gave to me.”
In the caption of the post, DJ and producer Pure Cold continued his tribute to Freeman.
“I am honestly lost for words…” he said.
