New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce (Presented by Wave Sports + Entertainment)
Jason and Travis Kelce kicked off Season 3 of their New Heights podcast with special guest Adam Sandler. This came less than 24 hours after Jason and Travis had secured the proverbially ‘bag’ and inked a reported $100 million deal with Amazon for exclusive rights to their podcast. Adam Sandler wasted no time diving into talking about Taylor Swift with Travis.
It was an endearing moment where Jason Kelce, a ‘girl dad’ himself, asked Adam Sandler what the appropriate age to start introducing Sandler movies to his kids is. This is a question I’ve been wondering myself lately and Adam Sandler gives a great answer about how kids as young as 3 come up to him asking if he’s ‘Happy Gilmore’ but then Adam turns the discussion to how Taylor Swift if the only celebrity that makes him nervous.

Adam Sandler said he had a Taylor Swift album in his car with his kids and it was the only album since The Beatles or Elton John that they’d listen to from start to finish. That it just blew them away and they’d listen to it on repeat. Sandler says everyone in their house knew every single word on that album from start to finish and he “loved what she had to say, every message, every melody” and he really loved “how cool it was what she meant to young girls.”
Adam Sandler says his daughters met Taylor Swift years ago when she hosted Saturday Night Live and she took her time with the kids and then did the same at the premiere for her movie, spending more time talking to his daughters.
Sandler then said “somebody asked me, ‘who do you get nervous around?’ I said ‘I do get nervous around Taylor Swift because I don’t want to f—— blow it for my kids and say something stupid.’” He went on to say “s—, she means so much to my house I better say the right thing here.”
There you have it, the only celebrity that makes Adam Sandler nervous is Taylor Swift, a woman who also happens to go out of her way to be incredibly nice to him and his daughters. The Sandman just doesn’t want to make a fool out of himself in front of his daughter’s hero.
