DeMayo had claimed he faced a “troubling pattern” of incidents while he worked at Marvel, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

He alleged that he was fired for posting a “Gay Pride” piece of fan art that was made for him.

The image was a shirtless drawing of him as the superhero Cyclops.

DeMayo claimed that he would no longer be given credit for his work on the second series of the Disney+ show.

Marvel rejected and hit back at the writer’s claims saying his behavior on set was the reason he was fired, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“Mr. DeMayo was terminated in March 2024 following an internal investigation,” a Marvel spokesperson said in a statement.

“Given the egregious nature of the findings, we severed ties with him immediately, and he has no further affiliation with Marvel.”

DeMayo was fired ahead of the series premiere of the animated show on April 10.

The show received an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Animated Program on August 12.

X-Men ’97’s fifth episode, Remember It, was highlighted by the awards committee.

DeMayo also claimed he did not get an invite from Marvel to the ceremony.

Despite the controversy between the two parties, DeMayo celebrated the nomination in an X post.

“Could not be more honored, and in disbelief,” he wrote.

“If you would’ve told 10-year-old Beau that the #XMen97 show he created would be up for an Emmy, he would’ve laughed. Thank you #Emmys.”

Some Marvel fans said they had supposedly spotted a graphic glitch in the new Deadpool & Wolverine movie, The U.S. Sun has previously reported.

A viral TikTok video claimed the studio “forgot to patch this CGI”.

The scene shows Deadpool spinning his blades, and it magically goes through Wolverine’s arm as if it weren’t there.

“Don’t get me wrong, I love the Deadpool trilogy but it probably has the worst cgi out of recent marvel movies,” one user said.
