BETTE Midler shares a major update on Hocus Pocus 3 while revealing that the sequel surpassed Disney+ records.
The Oscar-nominated actress’ tell-all comes nearly two years after the sequel was released.
While fans waited almost 20 years for the sequel of Hocus Pocus to be made, they most likely won’t have to wait nearly as long for a third movie.
Speaking with Extra, Bette Midler gave insight into the possibility of another film.
“Can we see you pick up the broomstick again?” host Mona Kosar Abdi asked.
Bette eagerly answered, “Oh, please let me! Please! Could I just, please?”
She went on to reveal that “there are serious talks” about another film.
“The studio was very happy with the one that was streamed,” she said.
“It broke all their records, so they were thrilled.”
She continued, “It’s like climbing into an old favorite dress, you know? It means a lot to all three of us, it really does.”
Bette reprised her role as Winifred Sanderson for Hocus Pocus 2, which was released on September 30, 2022, on Disney+.
The original film premiered two decades prior in 1993 and has become a staple Halloween film since.
SERIOUS ABOUT BUSINESS
When it comes to talks about business, Bette has become a woman of her word.
Back in May, Bette appeared on David Duchovny’s Fair Better podcast, reflecting on a few of her career failures.
Bette admitted that she wished she was a bit more “assertive” in the early days of her career.
Specifically, the 78-year-old actress spoke about her 2000 sitcom Bette.
Rising star at the time, Lindsay Lohan, was scheduled to play Bette’s daughter before she backed out at the last minute.

Bette revealed she would’ve “sued” the then-14-year-old for dropping out with short notice.
“Lindsay Lohan was cast as my daughter in the pilot,” Bette revealed.
“Well, after the pilot, Lindsay Lohan decided she didn’t want to do it, or she had other fish to fry. So Lindsay Lohan left the building – and I said, ‘Well, now what do you do?”
She continued, “If I had known that part of my duties were to stand up and say, ‘This absolutely will not do, I’m gonna sue,’ then I would have done that.”
While Lindsay hadn’t responded to Bette’s comments, the Mean Girls actress posted a throwback photo of the two during the pilot episode.
The caption read, “Had such a blast filming with the incredible @bettemidler #tbt.”
