Oksana Grishina in Two-Piece Workout Gear Shares "Full-Body Workout"

Oksana Grishina is a fitness superstar. And she’s still working out, even though she’s currently pregnant. Grishina shared a workout video on Instagram recently. In it, she is seen doing push-ups and exercises with weights. She captioned the post, “FULL BODY WORKOUT 🏋️‍♂️ SIMPLE BUT EFFECTIVE 💪🏼” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Oksana Grishina stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

As you can tell from her Instagram post, Grishina likes to strength train. The Mayo Clinic says that strength training has a lot of benefits. “By stressing your bones, strength training can increase bone density and reduce the risk of osteoporosis. Strength training can help you manage or lose weight, and it can increase your metabolism to help you burn more calories.”

According to Harvard Health, the push-ups Grishina does in her Instagram post have health benefits. “The push-up engages your body from top to bottom. It works several muscle groups at once: the arms, chest, abdomen (core), hips, and legs. Push-ups also can be modified as needed. A study published in the February 2016 issue of the Journal of Physical Therapy Science found that the chest muscle activity was greater when push-ups were performed with the hands placed halfway inward from their normal position. Hands placed outward work the triceps more.”

Grishina likes to exercise with her friends, as you can see in this post.  Better Health says that this is beneficial. “If you’ve arranged to meet a friend for a walk or booked an exercise class, you’re more likely to keep that commitment. Not wanting to let your friend or exercise partner down can be a great motivator to show up. And as your exercise becomes routine, perhaps after a few weeks, you’ll both find it less challenging and will more likely stick to your commitment.

Grishina likes to spend time outside. She shared this video of herself doing exercises outside on Instagram. UC Davis states that spending time outside has a lot of mental benefits. “When we’re in urban environments or the office all day, we can experience sensory overload, resulting in tension and mental fatigue. Studies have shown that our minds and bodies relax in a natural setting. This increases feelings of pleasure and can help us concentrate and focus more effectively, according to studies in the National Library of Medicine.”

An outdoor activity Grishina likes to do is going swimming. She shared this video of herself in a pool on Instagram. The Mayo Clinic states that swimming has a lot of benefits. “Swimming is a wonderful sport. I definitely recommend swimming for people of all ages,” says Dr. Matthew Crowe, a Mayo Clinic orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine expert. “Swimming is easy on the joints, and it’s very good for both cardiac health and your core strength. And it also can give you really excellent strength around the shoulders, and hips and knees.”
