In June it was reported that Ryan Seacrest is reportedly so much worse to work with than Pat Sajak was that Vanna White was considering stepping down from her longtime role as the co-host slash letter-turner on Wheel of Fortune.
She reportedly was planning on retiring at the end of her contract, but was now contemplating leaving the game show earlier due to her difficult relationship with new host Seacrest.
Now, a new report by RadarOnline.com says that their sources are telling them that none other than Kim Kardashian, 43, is being considered as a possible replacement for Vanna White, 67.
“They’ve compiled a list of folks to replace Vanna — and Kim is at the top,” the source claimed, according to entertainment journalist Rob Shuter. “Kim is a very close friend of Ryan’s and would bring a whole new audience.
“Ryan wants to make the show younger and sexier. He’s responsible for the Kardashian reality show and believes in that family more than anyone.”
The 49-year-old Seacrest officially took over Wheel of Fortune hosting duties full-time for the 77-year-old Pat Sajak following his final episode being aired on June 7, 2024.
The report goes on to claim that while no official offer has been made to Kim Kardashian, “people close to Kardashian hinted the gig was something she would seriously consider.”
Vanna White is under contract with Wheel of Fortune through the 2025–26 season after extending her contract in September of 2023.
Last May, Pat Sajak’s daughter Maggie Sajak took over letter-turning duties on Wheel of Fortune while White was away playing the game on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune for “Ultimate Host Night.”
Maggie Sajak has served as the game show’s Social Correspondent and actually took over Vanna White’s role when her dad Pat missed a week of shows recovering from surgery in 2020.
