Ariana Madix In Workout Gear Is Having a Blast On Love Island

Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix is having the time of her life hosting the new season of Love Island. Madix, 39, shared some behind-the-scenes highlights of her experience, including a video of herself wearing a one-piece leotard while chugging coconut water in the sunshine. Another video shows the star stretching on the floor in gray joggers and a purple sports bra. “Previously, on love island usa 🐠,” she captioned the post. “Why are you just…the hottest ever?” commented former castmate Dayna Kathan. Here’s how Madix is—truly—living her best life.

Madix swears by the cult Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask for beautiful soft and hydrated lips. “I like that it’s not sticky and there’s no color to it. It honestly just feels really nice,” she told New York Magazine. “I can put it on under lip liner or lipstick and it will keep everything from drying out. I have some wrinkles in my actual lips and this keeps everything smoother and more moisturized. I also use it before I go to bed like you’re supposed to, so when I wake up in the morning, I don’t look crusty.”

Madix is taking care of her well being by enforcing boundaries. “I consider myself a very upfront, honest person, but at the same time, I can be a little bit of a people pleaser in terms of putting aside what I really want to make someone else happy or try to do everything that’s being asked,” she told Her Campus. “I think that one of the best ways to unclog negativity is to just say ‘no’ to things. I mean, I love a ‘yes’ era, but sometimes it’s important to say ‘no.'”

Madix is a big proponent for skin cancer screenings through the Skin Cancer Foundation. “It has mobile testing, and it can be a huge resource of information and help people be able to get to that point of detecting,” she told E! News. “Something that I definitely did not know is that [skin cancer] is the most common cancer that you can get. And that anybody can get it. It’s not just, you know, people who are in the sun. It’s not just people with fair skin. It’s anybody.”

Madix is grateful for the incredible support from fans. “I feel close to a lot of people who watch the show or who will come to BravoCon or who I’ll message with on Instagram,” she told Glamour. “I know maybe it sounds silly—we’re strangers—but I do feel close to them. I feel like we’re a community. And so with this, I hope that in talking about it and allowing [Bravo] to capture it, maybe I’ll be able to connect with a community of people who will be able to say, ‘This is how I got through this. This is what worked for me.'”

Madix is careful about how she views her body and health after battling an eating disorder. “So many people have said things to me like, ‘You’re going to get in the best shape of your life’ about Dancing With the Stars,” she told SELF. “At first I was like, That sounds great. But then I thought, Well, let’s not try to be too focused on that—because that’s not what the focus should be. I try to tell myself too that everyone is different and everyone is unique and ever.”
