Christian McCaffery is having himself quite the offseason.
Not only did the Pro Bowl running back sign a two-year, $38 million contract with the San Francisco 49ers — the sportsbooks’ betting favorite to win this season’s Super Bowl — but he’s also set to get hitched to Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition model Olivia Culpo.
On Monday, June 24, Culpo and McCaffery began their wedding journey in style as the pair took a fancy private jet that came complete with a 3-course meal. On the menu for the pair’s flight, for breakfast, was bacon, sausage, egg, and cheese on croissants, a morning flatbread topped with pancetta, arugula, egg, bacon, and burrata, and a breakfast salad with mixed greens, egg, sausage, tomato, avocado, and everything bagel dressing.
Then, for lunch, they were served peach basil & berry, gazpacho, and a charcuterie board for appetizers, summer strawberry crunch salad, chicken lettuce wraps, and an ahi sushi bowl for the main course, and chocolate & espresso for dessert.
With all due respect to the country’s smallest state, however, the destination is nowhere near as lavish as the trip itself, as McCaffery and Culpo are getting married in Rhode Island, where she’s from.
“It’s just logistically complicated. Figuring out what everyone’s going to wear, figuring out, figuring out where everyone’s going to stay, making sure that everybody’s happy,” Culpo told People about planning the event.
“I feel like as a people pleaser, I want to make sure that everybody else is having the best time ever, but I know that everything will fall into place. I feel really good about it.”
The 32-year-old Culpo and 28-year-old McCaffery began dating in 2019 and got engaged in April 2023. Given their respective fame in different industries, it’s likely the ceremony will be a star-studded affair, with NFL players and models galore in attendance.
