Mark, 60, shared a photo of him on-stage, standing behind a microphone holding his guitar.

He smiled and pointed his finger at the camera.

However, the Ol’ Country singer’s caption was much heavier, as it detailed the heart issue he experienced on Sunday, which led to his hospitalization and urgent surgery.

Mark then revealed that he could no longer perform at his upcoming concerts.

“It is with a heavy heart that I announce the cancellation of my upcoming shows. I send my love and gratitude to my family and friends, the band and fans for your understanding, prayers and support, and look forward to seeing you all again soon at a honky tonk near you,” the songwriter’s statement read.

Fans flooded the comments to wish Mark a speedy recovery.

“OMG — please get well soon and do not rush your recovery,” one person urged.

“Praying for Mark and those close to him,” said another.

“So relieved this post didn’t end the way I thought it sounded like it was going to! Praying for your full and quick recovery,” a third wrote.

“May you heal quickly and feel great soon!!” added a fourth.

Mark was scheduled to perform on Friday in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and George West, Texas, on Saturday.

He was preparing to tour around the United States this summer before the health setback.

The Texas native also was set to perform at Dauphin’s Countryfest 2024 in Canada on Sunday, June 30.

Mark’s website has yet to be updated to reflect any cancellations.
