Omar Apolonio Velasco was born to two Mexican parents on May 20, 1997, in Hobart, Indiana.
Omar grew up surrounded by music as he was part of his family’s Catholic church choir. As a teenager, he began learning to play guitar and later learned to sing.
In 2017, Omar started uploading his music on SoundCloud. That year, his song Ugotme gained popularity, gaining over 15 million streams by 2018.
