The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that the show has certainly been playing up the possibility of a Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) and John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) pairing lately. Is B&B really going there or is it all just one big tease?
Time will tell, but it’s doubtful that Finn and Hope will be paired up long-term in any meaningful way.
Hope and Finn might do something scandalous together at some point, but it’s just tough to buy that they’ll become a relationship worth rooting for.
In fact, we’ve got three reasons why Finn and Hope won’t work as a couple – not a real one anyway.
The show can tease the possibility of Hope and Finn all they want, but here’s why this pairing is destined to flop.
1) Two “nice” characters equals boring.
For starters, Finn and Hope are designed to be “nice” characters.
We’ve got Finn the good doctor who’s typically drawn to a spicy character like Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Hope who forgave “bad boy” Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) to end up in a romance with him.
Of course, Hope and Finn are definitely still capable of making mistakes, but they’re generally treated as the gullible and sympathetic ones on canvas.
Finn and Hope are just too much alike to really work as a pairing since two “nice” characters equals boring.
2) Finn is supposed to be the anti-Liam.
As for Finn, he was created to be the anti-Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton).
B&B needed a fresh love interest for Steffy – someone loyal who wouldn’t waffle the way Liam always had between Steffy and Hope.
That’s why the show may want to pump the brakes before they take things too far with Hope and Finn.
It’d be a shame to turn Finn into a waffler too and taint him the way they’ve tainted Liam over the years.
3) Steffy is already the queen of Finn’s heart.
That brings us to another reason why Hope and Finn aren’t really a viable pairing.
From the moment Finn met Steffy, it was love at first sight – and she’s been the queen of his heart ever since.
When Steffy believed Finn was deceased, the show played up their cosmic connection and gave this couple an epic Monaco reunion.
Finn has always been totally smitten with Steffy, so it’s hard to believe he’d ever just forget about her and build a life with her worst rival.
Whatever the case, it’s possible Hope and Finn will make a sizzling little blunder sooner or later.
That would be regrettable, but it’s difficult to imagine Finn and Hope becoming some hot couple of the future under the circumstances.
